CASA LUNA se encuentra en un valle tranquilo, lejos de ruidos de coches, perros ladrando y gente. La casa es calentita en invierno y fresquita en verano y es un ejemplo de un edificio autosuficiente en energia con placas de agua caliente y electricidad solar. Esta a 5 mins de nuestro otro cortijo
Casa Luna is a small newly renovated stable, it is located close to our other rental cottage so if you are travelling with friends or family and would like to be close to them but have your seperate space it is ideal.
It is almost 100% energy self sufficient with solar electricity and hot water and a woodburning stove. Cosy in winter and cool in summer.(there is a small gas cooker for which we provide gas bottles)
It is a charming cottage with lots of unique features- a stable door, local tiles, tradtional beam and bamboo roof etc.
The space is compact, ideal for a small family, a couple, or close friends.
It is divided into an open plan living room/dining room, with a kitchen separated by a wooden worktop.
The bedroom space is separated from the living room by some long curtains and the loftbed space is accessed via a ladder.
At the moment there is just one electrical socket in the house for charging your mobile phone.
We can offer a range of massages in our newly converted yoga and massage studio.please consult us for prices .
In winter we provide firewood for lighting the woodburning stoves at night, this is included in the price.
The house is very cosy and warms quickly, keeping the heat well, but if you require extra firewood, we can provide it at a cost of 10€ per wheelbarrow full.

The cottage is surrounded by 20hectares of beautiful olive terraces, wild mountains,wildlife and silence. There is no road access to the farm, although we are only 5 mins walk from the nearest village, in a valley with no roads or barking dogs.Access is along a small footpath and the cottage is about 300m from the entrance to the farm , there is a gentle slope down to the house, with a few points on the path that are slightly steeper. We can help with luggage (we usually meet guests and carry their bags in a wheelbarrow!) but if you are not able bodied or have any kind of mobility problem, or have babies and/or small children and need to use a buggy, we do not recommend you book Casa Luna, or consider booking Casa Parra which is nearer to the entrance to the farm

CASA PARRA
La Burra Verde is an association to promote sustainable living.

We are based on the farm and occasionally run courses in our large yurt.
The farm is a 5 min walk from the village down a footpath.
There is no road access. We meet guests in the village to help them with their luggage and take them to the farm.
This could be a small inconvenience for some people, but it means the farm is incredibly peaceful and quiet and it is a beautiful walk along the footpath.IHowever, if you have mobility problems unfortunately you may find the access difficult.Please ask us if in doubt.
For parents with babies and toddlers access along the path is complicated with buggies, (too narrow) the best option is a sling for babies. Toddlers have to be carried along approximately 150m of path.
Casa Parra is almost 100% energy self-sufficient, cool in summer and warm in winter. Staying here is a real eco experience- we have large organic veg gardens , many fruit trees and free range chickens- we can provide you with eggs,fruit, veg, olive oil, almonds, olives...all from the farm .If you would like to buy a veg box please ask us about availability first.
There are lots of beautiful walks, swims, sights, sounds and sun.
We have solar electricity so please leave your high energy consumption electrical appliances at home. (hair dryers wont work here!).
This also obviously means that there is no electric heating or airconditioning!.
We also have compost toilets, located a short distance from the house, and woodburning stoves for heating- we can show you how to light them if you dont have experience. We provide sufficient wood to fuel them.
Electricity is provided by solar panels (we have just installed a new system) and there are two 220v socket in the house for charging small devices (mobiles, cameras, tablets etc).
It is not possible to use other high consumption electrical appliances such as hairdriers or blenders. If in doubt please ask!.
The other sockets are all 12v where you can use a car charger for charging your devices.(we provide a 12v universal charger for smartfones).
The fridge is available from April- November.)The rest of the year it is not really necesary, but if you think you will need it during the winter months please ask.
The compost toilet is located aprox 12m from the house and in the bathroom there is a ¨comode¨(urinal chair) for peeing in the night to avoid having to go outside!
You are welcome to explore the farm and its many nooks and crannies- the gardens, the stream, the natural swimming pool (available for swimming from Easter- November).,meet the donkeys!, sunbathe or hang a hammock under one of the 1,000 olive trees!. You are also welcome to use our large yurt (7m diametre) for yoga, meditation, reading etc when its not in use for courses, and our smaller yoga studio during the autumn, winter and spring .
Guests have full use of the cottage and access to all parts of the farm and use of the natural swimming pool/pond. The yurt is also available for doing yoga and meditation when its not being used for courses etc.
We have 2 friendly donkeys who live in a stable and an area down by the stream and lots of chickens that free-range around the farm in the afternoons. Children enjoy meeting them!.

The farm is a 6 min walk from Bayacas along a footpath, perfectly accessible for able-bodied people, but is you have limited mobility,access could be difficult.Please ask us for more information if this is the case.
We are happy to help you with luggage on arrival and departure.
No road access means no traffic noise, and a safe place for children to roam so even though some people may consider it a small inconvenience we consider it a bonus!.

We also have another cottage CASA LUNA available to rent on the farm if you have friends or family who would like to be close by.
